How it works
- Productive crew-hours = quantity ÷ whole-crew output per hour
- Crew days = productive crew-hours ÷ productive hours per day
- Paid person-hours = crew days × people × paid hours per day
Worked example
120 m at 4 m per productive crew-hour = 30 crew-hours. At 6 productive hours/day: 5 crew days. 3 people × 8 paid hours × 5 days = 120 paid person-hours.
Assumptions and practical notes
Example inputs are illustrative, not an industry production benchmark. Person-hours use fractional crew days; booking complete days may require more paid hours. Working days are not calendar dates and exclude separate weather or programme allowances.
