Civil Construction Takeoffs
Without the Spreadsheet Mess.

Upload the drawings, calibrate the scale and measure the job — lengths, areas, volumes, pipe runs, trenches and counts — with every quantity connected to a rate and an estimate.

Smart trench & pipe quantities

Measure a pipe run once and Fieldlink can generate the trench build-up — excavation, bedding and backfill volumes from length × width × depth with pipe displacement — all editable before anything is committed.

Trench 0.9m wide × 1.8m avg depth
→ Excavation 302.0m³ · Bedding 25.2m³ · Backfill 263.6m³

Connected to rates and the estimate

Each measurement can carry a unit rate from your Rate Library. The estimate totals update live as you measure — and when the drawing gets revised, you re-measure the change, not the whole job.

Common questions

What file types can I take off from?

PDF drawings and common image formats (PNG, JPG, WEBP). Multi-page PDFs are supported with per-sheet calibration.

How does calibration work?

Draw a line over a known dimension on the sheet (or use the drawing scale) and Fieldlink converts every measurement to real-world metres, square metres and cubic metres.

Can it measure pipe runs and trenches?

Yes — dedicated pipe, trench, volume, topsoil and cut/fill tools with depth and width inputs, plus automatic bedding/backfill/spoil derived quantities.

Is there an AI takeoff option?

Yes — the Fieldlink AI Plan Reader scans the sheet and suggests pipes, manholes and quantities with confidence levels. You review and approve before anything enters the takeoff.

Does the takeoff connect to quoting?

Quantities flow into the Fieldlink estimate, the estimate becomes the quote, and winning the job creates the job budget — one connected chain with no re-typing.
